Trial notes: Elspet, her sisters and father were found not guilty of practising witchcraft and sorcery but guilty of being 'airt and pairt' by association with their mother Wischert and brother Thomas Leyis. They were banished as punishment. Post trial: Father and daughters appear to have been banished and left the area although there are no details where they moved to. Jonet (sister) later appears to have wanted to get marriage banns announced and so the family may have managed to resettle elsewhere. (English)
