Pre-war employee of Wildenstein & Co, who took over the Wildenstein interests at the time of the firm’s ‘aryanisation ‘ as Dequoy & Co in May 1941. Acted as intermediary between Georges Wildenstein and Haberstock in effecting the change of legal ownership. Closely connected with Haberstock, Fabiani, Engel, Destrem, Boitel and Jane Weyll. One of the most important collaborationist dealers. Recognised as such widely through his participation in the sale of the two Nicolas Rembrandts to Haberstock for Linz. Indicted by French Government (Seine Tribunal, Judge Frapier). (English)
