Max Lindauer, a prominent farmer west of Washington, entered into rest on Tuesday morning, September 23, 1936, at 12:30 o'clock. He had been in ill health during the late years and in the past week had taken seriously ill and passed away at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 1 day. Mr. Lindauer was born December 21, 1860. He was united in marriage to Miss Julia Muench of Dutzow on May 6, 1892 and engaged in farming until the year, 1926. This union was blessed with three children, who sadly mourn his loss with his bereaved wife. Deceased was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America, No. 6798. On August 9, 1886 he was preceded in death by his father; his mother on January 12, 1901; one brother, J. F. Lindauer of Washington, who died March 23, 1926; and one sister, Elizabeth Wilkinson of Fulton, Missouri, on October 1, 1933. Sadly surviving his departure is his bereaved wife, Mrs. Julia Lindauer (nee Muench), one daughter, Mrs. Fred Welhe, Stotts City, Missouri; two sons, Julius and Robert Lindauer, Washington, Missouri, one sister, Miss Mary Lindauer, Monticello, Missouri; thirteen grand-children, two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Julius and Mrs. Robert Lindauer and one son-in-law, Fred L. Welhe, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains were in state at the family residence until Thursday morning. September 24, 1936 at 9:00 o'clock when same were removed to the Nieburg & Vitt Funeral Home for funeral service on Thursday afternoon. ... (English)
