B / W photo, portrait format, mounted on cardboard and cut oval, vignetted, retouched. Half-length portrait, the portrait is wearing a jacket with a wide collar and is looking at the camera.Perez Leiser Abraham was born in 1798 to the businessman Leiser Abraham in Driesen. Around 1825 he married Jeanette Meyer from Berlin. Above all because of the growing children and the better chances, he sold his business in Driesen around 1845 and found a yarn and wool business in Berlin (founded in 1827) that he bought from a Dutchman named van Laer. He acquired Berlin citizenship on October 19, 1846. Under the leadership of Abraham, the company developed into an international company specializing in knitting threads, embroidery threads, tricot and mechanical knitting. As a result of the economic crisis of the 1920s, business went bankrupt after almost 100 years of existence. (English)
