Roman's native language

edit

Seal of 1392. Roman I of Moldavia

Seal with the legend in the Ruthenian language: «+ ПЄЧАТЬ ІѠ (Божьей милостью) РОМАН ВОЄВОДА ЗЕМЛѢ МОЛДАЛЬВЬСКОІ». So he called himself and considered Ruthenian to be his native language. So his name should be written in this native language for him. --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 14:26, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Лобачев Владимир, consider that when searching "роман водэ мушат" in Google, you only get 49 results, while you get 14,500 with "Roman I al Moldovei". You also don't get any results in Google Scholar for "роман водэ мушат" and no Wikipedia other than the Russian one uses this name. In this case, consensus is clear. Google is not a reputable source. And the historical seal of the ruler is an irrefutable fact. --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 09:58, 6 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Лобачев Владимир, I don't see where has a discussion happened to consider there's consensus, and even if there was, consensus can be challenged. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 14:14, 8 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

I removed the Moldovan name because it's unsourced. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 11:33, 12 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
