Number of images
edit@Jane023: I really don't get the reasons why there should not have 4 images. This is a database, it's up to the clients to decide how many they want to display. As long as the images are indeed images of the element, I don't know why we would have to choose (plus in this case this is all we got, so we don't really risk any overflow ... If it was the Eiffel Tower this would be different but in this case ... And we can't do the converse yet as Structured Data for Commons is out of sight. author TomT0m / talk page 15:25, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
- As far as I know, this has nothing to do with esthetics. There has been consensus to only include one image for items, and if items don't have an image that represents it, then no image should be added (unlike Wikipedia, where related images are often used to illustrate articles). All 4 images should be in a commons category that can be linked using the commons category property. I believe the reason for this is so that only one image will appear in lists created by external users (such as listeria), but I am not really sure about that, only about the rule. - @Jane023: this is a nonsense to think with only data client in mind. Other images don't harm anything anyway, and Reasonator shows all of them. I challenge the rule ! author TomT0m / talk page 07:23, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
- OK - like I said, I am not an expert on this issue, so let's take it to the chat I guess. I delete artworks from artist items as well (but if there are items for those artworks then I add them back under notable works, though the images are then a click further away).
