Split? edit

@Jane023, D1gggg, Edoderoo, EUvin: (as significant contributors) The en.Wikipedia article to which this items is linked says "Coin edges may be plain (smooth) or patterned". A smooth edge is is not a sign of authenticity (Q30142173). I think we eto split this item, and have two or three subclasses: "plain coin edge", "milled coin edge" and perhaps "lettered coin edge". Well I agree this needs work. I only found this Wikipedia page through looking for "gurt" after the facebook post that started me looking at coins in general. I added the "gurt" to the item, but I suspect gurt is a thing that needs to be modelled correctly and "coin edge" doesn't cover it. In fact, the reason I started with the 2 euro coin is because I suspect what enwiki calls "outer segment" is in fact a wide gurt, but I can't find this anywhere. In Russian, "gurt" means any coin edge, not only plain one. So I assume this item should be left for general coin edge, and all other kinds should be introduced as separate items being sub-types of this one. --EUvin (talk) 10:50, 19 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Cool! Thanks for that explanation! Do you mean like ribbed-edge/lettered-edge/flat-edge? Jane023 (talk) 10:30, 23 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
