Item parameter edit

Several tools now have Wikidata items describing them; for example Add Names as labels (Q21640602). We should add an |item= parameter to this template. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 17:35, 19 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Pigsonthewing: In my opinion, items like that one are not notable. Probably I'm wrong, but I'd still like to see where consensus for creating such items has been shown. --Ricordisamoa 13:05, 20 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Ricordisamoa: As far as I am concerned, if we want (or need) to create items in order to better manage Wikidata, then they have de facto notability. Even otherwise, tools probably meet WD:N's "fulfills some structural need," criterion. See also Wikidata talk:Notability/Inclusion criteria#Tools etc. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:35, 20 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Pigsonthewing: I don't think that item serves even the slightest purpose. It was created by Jura1 and has been only used by him on Wikidata, except once by Zolo (right after a mention by Jura1). They could have linked the relevant Wikidata:Tools section or the tool site itself, without losing anything. --Ricordisamoa 15:31, 20 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Mysterious problem with any "[[wikilink]]" (double brackets) and last "]" in "screenshot_caption" field edit

I think there seems to be an issue in the "screenshot_caption" field.

If any "[[wikilink]]" (using double brackets) exists in that field, and then if any more "[]" pairs occur after the "[[", it does not seem to parse the last "]" correctly, which instead ends up in the "author" field. This edit (diff) shows no issue, but the next edit (diff) does (see the part which renders as "by Hardwigg ]" where the bracket appears instead).

Is this a bug? I'm not yet familiar with WikiData, so I might just be misunderstanding something. I noticed the issue when I edited Wikidata:Tools/External_tools but I couldn't figure out how to fix it (although another editor recently fixed it in a better way by just moving the link elsewhere).
