If station A has property P197 with value B, then the bot is adding to station B the property P197 with value A.

On Gare de Chépy-Valines (Q605722) there is the statement: adjacent station (P197)=Gare d'Abbeville (Q2182519)
Consequently, the bot is adding to Gare d'Abbeville (Q2182519) the statement adjacent station (P197)=Gare de Chépy-Valines (Q605722)
But it's an error. The physical adjacent station (open) of Gare d'Abbeville is Gare de Quesnoy-le-Montant (Q2425461).
- I agree with you on the scope of adjacent station (P197). It should only be used on physical adjacent station
- but I can't understand why you create such a furor if the statement Gare de Chépy-Valines (Q605722) adjacent station (P197) Gare d'Abbeville (Q2182519) is already there since month and logically a bot is adding Gare d'Abbeville (Q2182519) adjacent station (P197) Gare de Chépy-Valines (Q605722). Why are you reverting the later statement but the former can stay?
My reason for keeping the statements on the other stations: I don’t care about the items I’m not looking at that much, especially if they’re out of my personal scope.
Yeah, they should be corrected, but if I were going to change those, I would also correct the other wrong statements on those items, which means I’d have to also correct the items linked from there, and so on. No, I’m not going to fix all statements in whole Europe just because I want to fix them on some items.
Core part of Wikidata is linking entities with each other. In that sense you should equally care about links from item A to B as from item B to A.
You don't have to fix whole Europe, just don't look only at the links on your favorite items but also at the links pointing to your favorite items.

I already stopped the bot a few hours ago.
@Pasleim: I'm a bit torn... In the end, the bot task is correct and good but it relies on the predicate that the data your copying are correct which is not always the case (and the percentage of errors seems a bit too high). For the moment, stopping is probably the best thing to do.
For the long term, as an intermediary solution, maybe could bots only add the reverse symmetric claim only if the two stations are less than 50 km apart (at least for European countries, it is quite unlikely that two stations more than 50 km apart are physically adjacent)
I thought the bot were stopped for now? Has there been any discussion I missed? I’m asking because the bot readded such statements seven hours after it had been stopped „a few hours ago“.
Sorry, while editing my script it did not log the actions for a few hours. This happened because I was adding the complete railway and rackrail system of Switzerland to Wikidata, including information about all physical adjacent stations. The script has no definitely stopped.
