I meant the Wikipedia articles. The first two articles now exist in Esperanto Wikipedia, the last two list articles about the rivers and mountains don't exist in Esperanto Wikipedia. Sarvathi (talk) 11:53, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

I found a few mistakes, most notably because the bot doesn't seem to take the region into account:

• https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q115178375 isn't CAYPP because it's Pine Point in Ontario rather than Northwest Territories.
• https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q115178384 isn't CAPNE because it's Port Nelson in Ontario rather than Manitoba.
• https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q7622134 isn't AUSTH because it's Strathmore in Victoria rather than Queensland.

If you check my contributions, you'll see that a lot of them is correcting these kind of mistakes from your bot. Not sure how feasible it is to automate checking the region though.

You can check out my script where I validate the Wikidata entries at https://github.com/cristan/improved-un-locodes/blob/main/scripts/analyze-and-improve/internal-compare-with-wikidata.js. It seems like Wikidata is wrong at about 1% of the cases, so not too bad. Cristan (talk) 13:22, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

Well, if you'd look at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1023529 (Platteville, Wisconsin), you'll see that it has located in the administrative territorial entity (P131) of https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q500977, and that one has P131 of Wisconsin https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1537 and that has the ISO 3166-2 code US-WI, so it is possible. If you found a query to get this reliably, please let me know, because I've been having trouble here too Cristan (talk) 21:59, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
