Duplicate items edit

You posted a lot of DR's for duplicate items that were now empty. However duplicate items aren't to be deleted, but they need to be merged. This can be done 2 ways: 1) Activating and using the merge gadget. It can be activated in your preferences. 2) Using Special:MergeItem. The DR's have now all been merged. @Mbch331: Thank you for the information. I don't know much about the workings of Wikidata. I have already activated the merge gadget in my account. Best regards, Ignoratum 18:56, 25 September 2015 (UTC).Reply
If you have activated the gadget, then in the menu under "more" you'll see the option merge. Just enter the QID of the item to merge with and the tool does the rest (moving statements as far as needed, moving labels, links and descriptions. In the end it will clear whatever remains and turn it into a redirect.) Mbch331 (talk) 19:03, 25 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Mbch331: Yes, in my menu bar it's now the option merge and I think I know how to use it. Thanks for the help again. Ignoratum 19:15, 25 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome. It will save us both a lot of work. Mbch331 (talk) 19:17, 25 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
