Plan to handle duplicates?
editFor Bildindex der Kunst und Architektur PID (P12754) we seem to have quite a few duplicates, see https://w.wiki/AM2x . Any plans to trim that down? Netherlands Institute for Art History (Q758610) has been doing that for years for RKDimages ID (P350). Multichill (talk) 20:55, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your note - and yes, we do have plans to remove duplicates within Bildindex. Cf. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property_talk:P2092#Multiple_values for more information about this issue (that we also had with the predecessor of Bildindex der Kunst und Architektur PID (P12754)). It's mostly a task for our documentation department, and the main issue is that data published within Bildindex comes from multiple partners. That's the reason why the constraint status for single-value constraint (Q19474404) has been set to "suggestion constraint" instead of "mandatory constraint".
