Events

edit

I admit I haven't studied your Python code and don't know what it does, but what does "banned as it is an event" mean? In what context are events banned? Is the problem that event (Q100235738) has some bad property claim, or that some Wikidata items are incorrectly stated as instances or subclasses of event (Q100235738)?

I'm aware of the English word Lexeme:L4036 having multiple senses, but that's about it. SM5POR (talk) 12:30, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

@SM5POR: it is banned in this specific context (this is byproduct of validating OSM objects - report is at https://matkoniecz.github.io/OSM-wikipedia-tag-validator-reports/ ) - and in this contexts events are never expected. I will try to change phrasing for future ones Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 16:50, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
I see, thanks. I think I have corrected the Skyspace Lech (Q63066124) case as it was one of confusion between installation art (Q212431) (the activity) and installation artwork (Q20437094) (the resulting product); I left the old claim with a deprecated rank, citing refers to different subject (Q28091153), as a reminder or heads-up to future editors.
But in order to get this item off your list, you may want to provide a really simple mechanism, such as ticking a checkbox and pressing a "Done" button. To most editors besides yourself, manually editing your list will be considered too cumbersome and therefore out of the question. SM5POR (talk) 20:14, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Changed to "this was unexpected here as it indicates" Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 16:52, 9 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

unsigned pings don't work

edit

Just to let you know: pings don't work if they are not signed. I did not get the last one (JesseW probably neither) - Valentina.Anitnelav (talk) 23:18, 22 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Updates

Some new example problems are now listed! See @JesseW: @Valentina.Anitnelav: (I hope that pinging you about new testcases is OK, let me know if you do not want this) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 13:46, 2 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Happy to be ping'ed; I'll look at them. JesseW (talk) 16:07, 2 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Glad you are back to updating this -- I thought you had (understandably) given up a few months ago. I'll see what I can do. JesseW (talk) 12:48, 24 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Just was quite busy - in future you can ping me on OSM Wiki or OSM Slack if this page ever runs out of examples Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 07:32, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Group failures for a subject item together?

edit

Any way you could have your tool put all failures for a single subject item under one level 2 header? It would make it more efficient to mark completion. Thanks! Swpb (talk) 20:32, 10 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
