Thank you for your work in maintaining Wikidata. I have a small suggestion to improve your future work. If you notice that two items are duplicates, please merge them instead of blanking one of them as you did with the page Q30960150. External sites use Wikidata identifiers, so it is important that we preserve the chain of references. We do this by making one item a redirect for the other. In particular, item ids are intended to be a permanent identifier, so we never reuse them for another concept. See Help:Merge for more information on how to merge items, and consider installing the Merge Gadget. Thanks!

Twinned administrative bodies

Hi, you added twinned administrative bodies to Pärnu (Q102365) which is an item for a settlement. Settlements in Estonia are not administrative bodies and can't conduct international relations. Item for administrative body is instead Pärnu City (Q23890603). Hence the latter item should have given statements instead.

Additionally, somehow the distinction between twinned cities (sõpruslinnad) and partner cities (partnerlinnad) should be made, see [2]. Pärnu City (Q23890603) already lists proper twinned cities, while your edit concerns partner cities. 2001:7D0:81E6:EF80:E176:5E10:D886:18D8 06:38, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

The same applies to all other Estonian cities like Valga (Q193905), Haapsalu (Q191106), Antsla (Q154994) that are settlements within larger urban or rural municipality. See municipality (administrative enity) items that are linked from settlement items. Sorry, I don't understand Ukrainian. In case of Valga in particular, former municipality was twinned with other municipalities. The remaining settlement Valga (Q193905) is not an administrative entity and it cannot have twinned administrative entities. See former municipality item Valga City (Q23890516) to where I moved statements which I could verify. 2001:7D0:81FD:BC80:9CD2:53D5:FB1F:C6EC 07:17, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

Once again, Tõrva city is no longer an administrative entity and it cannot have twinned administrative entities. Please check edit summaries (Special:Diff/1743517139) where I already hinted which items are for previous/current administrative entities. Croatian population data

Hey there. I see you added some data to https://m.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q115117&action=history recently, but that has overwritten the data I'd added, which were more consistent across the settlements and municipalities of Croatia. The source was our census bureau, it doesn't get more authoritative than that. Do you know how many more Croatian settlements you updated back then? Your update is causing us errors for 2021 on the Croatian wiki, I'll have to find a way to fix it. Thanks Ponor (talk) 21:11, 30 November 2023 (UTC)

Estonian population data

Please pay attention to previous corrections to your edits in page histories (e.g. Special:Diff/1929462883, also see my previous comment here). In Võsu item you now readded population counts which as per source given in etwiki article are actually resident registration counts not actual population. In particular you edited 2011 census data so that it no longer matches the source given (Special:Diff/2072516127). This particular example illustrates that actual population and resident registration count can vary a lot. In items of Estonian places please use population (P1082) only to store actual population data from Statistics Estonia (Q3738605) publications. 2001:7D0:81DB:1480:C9C8:CB48:2526:4665 08:52, 9 February 2024 (UTC)

Please explain this: Special:Diff/2089514129. What are you trying to achieve with these changes to references? As already said in edit summary, these references are incorrect and insufficient. You use stated in (P248) the wrong way (its for linking the source publication) and if only the publisher/organization is kept in reference then it's very hard if not impossible to find out from where the data actually comes from. Other properties like publisher (P123) exist to link Statistics Estonia (Q3738605) in a more meaningful way.
