SoCalChemBot approval
The discussion about approval has now been up for 7 days and there have not been opposing comments. Would it be possible to approve the bot status? Thx, Sebotic (talk) 18:14, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
Request for flooder flag 1

Request for flooder flag
... for importing IRS Employer Identification Number (P1297) from the IRS dump of non-profits. My code is here: https://github.com/cloutier/wikidata-nonprofits-importer and here is a sample of the results: http://azure.cloutier.co/res5.txt . Only those with "Perfect match" will be imported. --Vincent cloutier (talk) 16:20, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
- Why do not you propose a bot for this?--Ymblanter (talk) 19:04, 23 October 2016 (UTC)
- I personally don't care, but if this is a one-timer, why then create permanent bot account? --Edgars2007 (talk) 07:46, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- Because the task is non-trivial, and I would like to have a community input. This can be also done here.--Ymblanter (talk) 16:03, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- OK. --Edgars2007 (talk) 16:45, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- Let me indeed ask at the Project Chat, may be we can briefly discuss here without too much bureacracy.--Ymblanter (talk) 18:08, 24 October 2016 (UTC)
- It's just that the IRS data is updated yearly (and then I'm not sure if there will be any significant update to the database by then), and I thought that it would make more sense to use my personnal account until I have scripts that can be run daily, weekly or even monthly. --Vincent cloutier (talk) 14:03, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
- This is fine, it looks like there are no objections, and, provided none have been raised, I will assign the flag tomorrow afternoon.--Ymblanter (talk) 20:47, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Vincent cloutier:, Done, please do not forget to remove the flag after the task has been completed.--Ymblanter (talk) 13:48, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
- It's done and I removed my flag, thank you! --Vincent cloutier (talk) 15:02, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
- If it's a bot, shouldn't it use a bot account?
--- Jura 09:02, 28 October 2016 (UTC)- I didn't want to make a bot for something that will be run at most once a year, but I'm planning to write more scripts like this one and combining all of them into a bot. --Vincent cloutier (talk) 15:02, 30 October 2016 (UTC)
