edit@Karl Oblique: I am deeply concerned about this edit batch, which is removing ethnicity statements from the items of African-American individuals. I understand the concern for proper sourcing, but there are many unsourced statements on Wikidata and it is a work in progress. Much of the work I do on Wikidata involves discovering and improving items on underrepresented groups in the United States, and removing the ethnicity statement from twenty thousand Americans significantly impacts that work. I would respectfully ask Karl Oblique to reconsider wholesale removal of this information from the database. Gamaliel (talk) 13:27, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
