I'd like to propose deletion of these 3 properties in order to unify them into Japan Rugby Football Union player ID (P4937). Please see Property_talk:P4937#Note_about_this_property for prior discussion. All these 4 properties share the ID namespace, and are accessible with the same generic URL. I think this distinction is needless and these 4 properties should be unified. Please note that nobody uses after the creation of P4938, P4940, and P4941. French Wikipedia has tracking categories for these 3, but no pages are included. ― Mzaki (talk) 10:28, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- @Mzaki:, I am not sure to understand. You're telling that the mentioned properties should be deleted because Japan Rugby Football Union player ID (P4937) fits for all them? -- Blackcat 19:30, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, as already mentioned by @Daxipedia. Mzaki (talk) 03:53, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Possible stakeholders:
- @Daxipedia, who proposed the properties, is in favor of unification.
- @Pintoch, who created the properties.

- Support In favor of merger : as explained, as the four properties have now a shared URL structure, they can be merged (or, I guess in other words, 3 of them can be deleted in order to keep a unique one). For exemple, with the update of the federation website, en.rugby-japan.jp/sevens-womens/member/detail/$1 can now be replaced by rugby-japan.jp/player/$1, which includes men/women category and rugby union/sevens code in one unique URL. After that, P4937 can be renamed Japan Rugby Football Union ID instead of Japan Rugby Football Union men's player ID. - Daxipedia - 達克斯百科 (talk) 20:04, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Support if it's like descripted by Daxipedia. -- Blackcat 22:27, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Deeming the agreement reached without objection for almost a month, I have moved existing statements of P4938, P4940, and P4941 into that of P4937 in this edit.--Mzaki (talk) 14:08, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- And I have changed the English label and description of P4937, and flushed the translations in other languages, keeping old labels as aliases, by this series of edit. --Mzaki (talk) 14:18, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- I have copied necessary property statements from P4938, P4940, and P4941 to P4937, by this series of edit. Mzaki (talk) 14:46, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- fr & ary Wikipedia have usage tracking categories for P4938, P4940, and P4941, but no pages are included there. I think now we have ready for deleting these 3 properties. Mzaki (talk) 15:06, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
