- Support I added some more examples showing special characters, and added the regex. UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 18:50, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

- @GrandEscogriffe, ArthurPSmith, MasterRus21thCentury: Done as Glossary of Meteorology ID (P10260). UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 20:54, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- @GrandEscogriffe, ArthurPSmith, MasterRus21thCentury, UWashPrincipalCataloger: because this website uses MediaWiki, what about using the numerical identifier instead of the plain text? The advantage of using the numerical identifier (called Page ID) is this identifier is stable even if the page is renamed. To find it, type this URL https://glossary.ametsoc.org/w/index.php?title=TITLE&action=info and replace "TITLE" by the page title. Then, you find the identifier in the field "Page ID". Finally, the formatter URL is https://glossary.ametsoc.org/w/index.php?curid=$1. For example:

- @UWashPrincipalCataloger, Pamputt: That makes a lot of sense to me - it would also help avoid possible issues with the special characters in some of these labels. ArthurPSmith (talk) 16:08, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Ok, perfect. I adapted the property (URL formatter and format constrain) and started to replace already existing values by the corresponding numerical value. Pamputt (talk) 18:58, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- These new links are not working from the individual item pages. When you click on the identifier you get a screen that says "There is currently no text in this page. You can search for this page title in other pages, or search the related logs, but you do not have permission to create this page." Is it just a matter of time for the new formatter to kick in? - Yes, this is once more the "problem of cache". Indeed, I changed te formatter URL but it not yet taken into account (links still point to https://glossary.ametsoc.org/wiki/$1 and not to https://glossary.ametsoc.org/w/index.php?curid=$1). Pamputt (talk) 20:39, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Links are now working. Pamputt (talk) 15:30, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
