- Motivation
Database identifier of Valencian Library, the Regional Library in the Lander of Valencia, Spain.
It is the Regional Library, so it should be a referencial authority control for issues related to Valencia. TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 17:53, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

- Unfortunately, the description has to be plaintext and doesn't support Wikimarkup. Otherwise Support. ChristianKl (talk) 21:25, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

- Comment Is the formatter url for people and books the same? I think works use
http://bivaldi.gva.es/en/consulta/registro.cmd?id=
instead ofhttp://bivaldi.gva.es/en/consulta_aut/registro.cmd?id=
Strakhov (talk) 19:19, 10 April 2017 (UTC) - @TaronjaSatsuma: Can you address Strakhov concerns? Maybe we need two separate properties? ChristianKl (talk) 07:21, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- wrt books/editions many of them (I don't know to what extent) are probably covered by Europeana (Q234110) and P727 (P727). For example,
http://bivaldi.gva.es/en/consulta/registro.cmd?id=2700
([1]) is linked inhttp://www.europeana.eu/portal/es/record/2022701/oai_bivaldi_gva_es_2700.html
([2]), being the value of P727 (P727)2022701/oai_bivaldi_gva_es_2700
and the book ID in BiValdi2700
. I do not have a clear position on whether it's preferable linking in Wikidata the superdatabase/digital library (with the somehow long&churrigueresque ID), the original database/digital library (and its simple ID) or both of them. Strakhov (talk) 10:56, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- wrt authors, it is not the same situation (at least one identifier is not contained inside the other), but many guys and their works are included (I don't know to what extent) in Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes (Q4903493) and BVMC person ID (P2799). The previous digitalised novel in BiValDi is stored there as a "manifestation" (manifestation ID -> 654775) and linked in the author entry (author ID -> 17, already stored here.) Since I've proposed a similar property I'm interested in what happens here. Strakhov (talk) 10:56, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- Support author ID. Strakhov (talk) 12:48, 15 April 2017 (UTC)
- @TaronjaSatsuma: are you OK with restricting this proposal to "people" and removing the "books" part from "domain"? Strakhov (talk) 19:23, 2 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, sure. Sorry I didn't awnswer. Consider my silence as an agreement.--TaronjaSatsuma (talk) 07:42, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
- ok, fixed. Strakhov (talk) 09:47, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
