Motivatie edit

This is a complete database, based on a survey conducted in 1959. It provides important information on where these (often fairly local) saints were venerated and what problems they were invoked for. As far as I know, this is a pretty unique source. Given that the saints all have a unique number and that the database is hosted by the Meertens Institute (a sub-section of the w:en:Dutch Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, the resource can be expected to be stable.
