Elementary particle vs. fundamental particleEdit
Hi, I see now that the two terms are used differently according to the ru and be and uk wikipedias. I think the item (Q43116) actually matches the ru (and be and uk) fundamental particle articles. They are structureless. I've changed those three wp links and merged the old "fundamental particle" item into Q43116 and renamed it accordingly in those three languages. The ru, be, and uk articles for elementary particle said it included protons for example so this does not match any existing wikidata item. If you think it is important then probably a new item is needed for particles that can't be split even though some of them have substructure (i.e. including baryons). DavRosen (talk) 00:22, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
- I've now created a new item indivisible particle (Q28846113) (which has subclass elementary particle (Q43116)) and linked it to the three articles (in ruwiki, bewiki, ukwiki) that describe it. Perhaps some other wp language articles should also link to the new class instead of its subclass depending on the article content. DavRosen (talk) 14:31, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
Adding sources instead of repeating valuesEdit

LocativeEdit
As you added statements about locative to languages, I thought you might want to comment on Wikidata:Property_proposal/locative.

Is Gallifrey a countryEdit
Hi,
I'm not sure that
is correct. I understand the meaning but Gallifrey (Q367221) is not a country so it's very strange. Maybe
would be better (it's not exactly the same thing but at least it seems more correct). What do you think?
Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 18:21, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
- VIGNERON, I'm not sure that is correct. He never was born. It was the regeneration.Arbnos (talk) 18:30, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
- Hi,
- True, I didn't think about that and I see that we already have
- But should we really keep ? Gallifrey (Q367221) is not a country (as far as I know, it's a planet and with a stretch it's may be seen as a « civilization » but not a sovereign state or a nation), moreover country (P17) shouldn't be use for beings (it's meant for places).
- A different matter, I'm not sure about (she died several times but I don't recall her dying on Gallifrey)

Гражданство СеребряковаEdit
Orbiting universeEdit
Hi,
Do you have a source for:
instance of (P31) ⟨ hypothesis (Q41719) ⟩
I've heard hypotheses about the multiverse but nothing about universes orbiting.
Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 09:35, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
PS: I'm not sure about instance of (P31), wouldn't sourcing circumstances (P1480) be better?
Q59613571Edit
Isn't colorlessness (Q59613571) the same as colorless (Q1396399)? Wostr (talk) 18:13, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
- Wostr, one of them is a quality, another optical phenomenon. Can I mix? Or not?--Arbnos (talk) 18:18, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
- colorless (Q1396399) has already some uses with color (P462) and has subclass of (P279) color (Q1075). Also, color (Q1075) subclass of (P279) optical phenomenon (Q14506045) and instance of (P31) physical property (Q4373292) which subclass of (P279) property (Q937228) and then property (Q937228) subclass of (P279) quality (Q1207505). So to me, colorless (Q1396399) already has quality (Q1207505), although not directly as in colorlessness (Q59613571), but indirectly through color (Q1075), physical property (Q4373292) and property (Q937228).
But, I see now that we also have colorlessness (Q11567495) and colorless (Q55690561), so maybe merging colorlessness (Q59613571) with one of these would be a better idea? Wostr (talk) 19:58, 10 December 2018 (UTC)- Wostr, combined with colorlessness (Q11567495).--Arbnos (talk) 20:44, 10 December 2018 (UTC)

Q62657882Edit
Hi, I'm having problems with a few automatic tools caused by Q62657882 being treated as a non-fictional nation. The descriptions for state (Q7275) and sovereign state (Q3624078) says "organised community living under a system of government; either a sovereign state, constituent state, or federated state" and "political organization with a centralized independent government". I don't read Russian, so I can't read the sources, but I don't think Q62657882 has any form of constitution or a "centralized independent government".
Number of planets in the solar systemEdit
Related to these edits, the statements should be deprecated ! it was not true that the solar system had those number of planets, it was believed that, and later proven wrong. This is the definition of « deprecated » for statement rank. The qualifier end time (P582) is also probably wrong − it’s still true now that the sources cited state that. See for example Help:Deprecation author TomT0m / talk page 16:26, 19 July 2019 (UTC)
P7937Edit
Before mass adding properties to items, please check the criteria restricting use of that property. The property form of creative work (P7937) is only to be used on items that are creative work (Q17537576) or a subclass of that. Items that are version, edition, or translation (Q3331189) do not meet that criterion. --EncycloPetey (talk) 19:34, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
Additionally ode (Q178985) is not a valid value for that property. Only literary forms are valid values, but an ode (Q178985) isa literary genre. The form depends upon length or structure. The genre is determined by the content of the work, and an ode is an ode because of its content, not its structure. --EncycloPetey (talk) 19:42, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
- Hello! Property restrictions are not a dogma or a full- fledged restriction. I was also surprised that in https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Property_proposal/literary_form ode was called a literary form , but decided to put, offering the good intentions of the proposed property.--Arbnos (talk) 12:07, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
- EncycloPetey, and the restrictions set for the newly created property are generally at the beginning of formation.--Arbnos (talk) 12:09, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
- EncycloPetey, I set the "none of constraint" constraint with the ode value of the property "format of creative work".--Arbnos (talk) 13:18, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
- EncycloPetey, thank you for depriving me of the need to arrange ode, as I myself did not really want to, but I did, because I thought it was useful for Wikidata.--Arbnos (talk) 13:32, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
- EncycloPetey, set the automatic transfer of the " ode "value of the " format of creative work "property to the "genre" property : https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property_talk:P7937 .--Arbnos (talk) 13:52, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
