Motivation edit
Gujarati Vishwakosh is largest encyclopedia in Gujarati language. It is recently being digitised volume by volume. It has 25 volumes published over 22 years from 1987 to 2009. It has more than 25,000 entries on wide range of subjects written by nealy 1600 experts. There are further publishing more encyclopedias as well like children's encyclopedia, theatre database etc. Gujarati Wikipedia has long history of relation with Gujarati Vishwakosh and they even has an official OTRS approved account on Commons for image donations (they have donated many images). Gujarati Wikisource has conducted workshops at their auditorium which they provided for free. Gujarati Wikipedia is has about 30000 articles which includes about 18000 village articles. So about 12000 articles are about other subjects. So interlinking both encyclopedias will be great for readers as well as for Wikipedians as well.-Nizil Shah (talk) 07:50, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
