Motivation

In the European Union NACE codes are used to monitor economic activity. Entreprises, institutes or organisation are annotated with these NACE codes (List of NACE codes). Having the different economic activities and their respective NACE codes would allow for quite some interesting queries. For example: "What are the economic activities of different universities". What is the density of a given economic activity in a given region. There exists public data on economic activities. In Belgium for example the Crossroad Bank of Enterprises (Q16626729) publish all Belgium enterprises and their NACE codes as public data. Andrawaag (talk) 22:37, 14 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

Support Sounds very useful. Do you know of CORDIS entries (see CORDIS (Q763756)) are annotated with NACE codes? --Egon Willighagen (talk) 13:18, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Support We have NAICS code (P3224) for North American Industry Classification System (Q3509282), so it makes sense to add a property for the European system also. —ShelleyAdams (talk) 13:35, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
