NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs) are used by NATO member country armed forces for identifying materiel (equipment, spare parts, components, etc) which can be ordered through military supply chains. With an NSN, public databases can be searched to retrieve manufacturer details, pricing, information on hazardous substances, some technical specification details and numerous other details.
