- Motivation
While any biological parent can be entered as either father or mother adoptive parents don't need to be either male or female and thus might be neither fathers nor mothers. There might also be non-human parents that are neither male nor female and thus no fathers or mothers.
This property would be a superclass of father and mother. This has the added benefit that even without direct usage of this property it's easier to write queries that gather information about the parents of certain people. ChristianKl (talk) 08:50, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

- Oppose separate properties make it easier to assess completes of a dataset. Many applications already make use of these two properties.
