Task/s: Import Surface Water Bodies for Sweden countries based on 2016 reporting under the Water Framework Directive.
Code: Batch specific code running on framework based on pywikibot
Function details:
The bot processes data from the Swedish 2016 reporting under the Water Framework Directive (see an example of the source data converted to json at SE708608-168268.json). It adds 6 properties (see 5 examples at User:AndreCostaWMSE-bot/WFD/preview#SWB) and sources these (also sources any pre-existing identical statement).
In the initial step it would only be run for existing items that already contain a EU Surface Water Body Code (P2856) (i.e. without the -new
flag) so no new items would be created. Later this might be relaxed.
A test run with four items has been done: Q17519398, Q17522545, 500530455, Q17522456.

- If the license of the data is this I read that is CC BY: section: Re-use (incl. redistribution) , probably not compatible with Wikidata. --ValterVB (talk) 19:35, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- @ValterVB: The Swedish dataset (Water Framework Directive - 2016 Reporting - Sweden (Q29563137)) is explicitly licensed as CC0 so that one shouldn't be a problem. A few more countries might be compatible but you are correct in that there is no blanket CC0 for all of the WFD data yet (working on it though). /André Costa (WMSE) (talk) 19:42, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
- OK, read now :) --ValterVB (talk) 19:48, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
