Task/s: Add citations to Swedish legal documents, found in other legal documents or other publications we choose to import in the future. Potential extension to European law.
Code: Github
Function details: The bot operates on existing Wikidata items with full work available at URL (P953) defined. The bot retrieves the document in question and scans it for patterns typically representing Swedish legal documents. Examples include:
- Parliamentary motions
- Government propositions (bills)
- Swedish supreme court decisions
- Swedish government reports
- Legislative committee reports
The cited documents are looked up via legal citation of this text (P1031). I am primarily looking to run the bot on the types of documents listed above, but I can also imagine importing scholarly articles on Swedish or Nordic law from e.g. Svensk juristtidning (Q10684816) and running the same scripts on those. The bot tries to identify page numbers cited whenever possible.
A natural extension that I would like to do is to enable adding references to EU directives and European case law from European Court of Justice (Q1518827) or European Court of Human Rights (Q122880). --Belteshassar (talk) 19:00, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
