- Will be approved in a couple of days provided there have been no objections raised.--Ymblanter (talk) 11:24, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- It looks much better than before. BTW Q22681958 should have the label "Golo", not "Golo (programming language)". If you find a way to add 1 or 2 statements to the items, that would be great. I don't quite get the link between the most recent edits and the outline at w:User:Mdupont/Open_content, but maybe it doesn't matter for this request.

- I updated golo. So I am lagging in the documentation. Recently I have been :
- adding in article language links for items in the open content category
- looking for pages that contain links to items described in the free software directory
- experimenting with avro and parquet storage on archive.org for usage with hadoop/hbase
- setting up the refereta and mireheze wikis for storing of my edits
- creating queries that show where missing free software project tags are missing see enwiki:User:Mdupont/Open_content/Wikidata/Queries
I realize that I am going to need a place to store project data that might not be accepted into the wikipeda as notable, there are about a million projects to consider and if I start adding items for all of them it might upset people. So, I need a place outside of wikipedia to collect and link this information. That is why I am pausing my work on running and developing the bot. Mdupont (talk) 00:29, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- When you say "categories", are you referring to Wikimedia category (Q4167836)? What do you mean with "Pages"? Maybe you meant items? Multichill (talk) 18:18, 2 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- My plan is to work on the category open content in wikipedia and subpages/cats from there. Mdupont (talk) 00:29, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- See also this discussion which means I will not be the one approving the bot.--Ymblanter (talk) 09:12, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Please do not confuse the discussion of my bot work with things I am doing manually. I added in *one* test category manually in the hopes to see how it is adopted, and I see there is a lot more to discuss on the topic of adding categories. I do not see what this is relevant to the case of the bot. I am very careful not to do anything on this wiki against the rules. The case we are discussion on that link is how to get a consensus for adding categories. I would never do a mass import of data from somewhere without getting some feedback first. That is why I have added in a RFC on this topic Wikidata:Requests_for_comment/Import_of_Free_Software_Directory_categories. . Mdupont (talk) 10:24, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
- Ok, if you are not planning to creats such categories with the bot until consensus has been established, I am fine with the approvel. Let us wait for several days and see what others have to say.--Ymblanter (talk) 11:45, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
