I know that even numerous substantial WP edits do not count here at all but I think there is no harm in adding missing descriptions to WP lemmata albeit on protected pages, is it? Hodsha (talk) 11:56, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

given your limited experience on other wikis too (105 edits globally) that isn't enough to grant confirmed in my view - if you need to edit a protected page you can add an edit request on the talk page. --DannyS712 (talk) 06:16, 10 January 2022 (UTC)- @DannyS712: Info This user has 7,951 edits globally, the user in the request above has just 105 edits globally. --Ameisenigel (talk) 14:04, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- Oops, I was looking at the wrong SUL link - nevermind, I've withdrawn my not done --DannyS712 (talk) 20:22, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi. I'm keen to develop a system that uses QuickStatements to create linked, citable geodata as outlined here, and would be grateful for the confirmed right that would enable me to do so. Docuracy (talk) 22:44, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- I'd prefer you have some more experience editing manually before using a tool like that - there is a reason we require 50 edits before you can use QuickStatements, to ensure you get more familiar with WikiData. --DannyS712 (talk) 06:14, 10 January 2022 (UTC)

I'm currently doing a Uni project that looks at UK Ministers of Parliament over time and their counties/places of origin, and I have identified a lot of missing statements, minor innacuracies and so on from a lot of the counties, regions and lesser known MP's. Unfortunately as they are referenced by all settlements within them, all the counties, regions and larger settlements are semi-protected, so I cannot touch them. I've been trying to build up edits by finding details about some MP's that were missing publically known information, but it's slow going and most of the issues I find are with counties missing known population figures or having incorrectly ranked administrative levels or lacking qualifiers and such. I am able to manually edit the data such so it isn't a problem for my own project, but it would be great if I could use my work in correcting this data to improve the data for everyone. - @Fyreni: Done. You must be almost autoconfirmed already. By the way, when you add data like population, it would be great if you could also add a reference at the same time. Good luck with the project — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:16, 2 February 2022 (UTC)
