I am a translator at translatewiki (translatewiki:user:Ата), metawiki (meta:user:Ата), MediaWiki (mw:user:Ата). I'd like to make my translation work convenient here as well. (I'm not active at Wikidata as database but fond of translations; have a dream to become a global translation admin :) ). I hope, good faith is evident -- Ата (talk) 22:54, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

- Support per AGF as translation adminship is no big deal if you know what you are doing.

Regards, Vogone talk 23:27, 7 March 2013 (UTC) Weak opposeYou're clearly an experienced translator, and I have no doubt you'll be of use to the project. However, I think it's important to demonstrate a general familiarity with the project before obtaining translation adminship. I think it's a right we actually take a bit too seriously here (it only gives you a handful of extra buttons), and it doesn't require extensive familiarity with local policies and conventions, but I don't think a user should be requesting it as their 8th edit. I count 5 translationspace edits and 0 mainspace ones; I'd encourage you to withdraw this request, do some more work here, and file again once you've established yourself as a local contributor. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 23:31, 7 March 2013 (UTC)- I understand, maybe is was really too early to make this request :) Just want to say that I've read some help pages (here and on metawiki), got to know basic things about Wikidata, watched how fellow Wikipedians were trying new features, have no wish to contribute to mainspace (sorry for that) but want to help this project be understandable for Ukrainian speakers thus it will have more other contributors. Hope, at least you'll understand my reasons :) I have some time till the end of the voting (14/03) to demonstrate needed familiarity with the project. Thank you very much for autopatrolled flag at the moment. -- Ата (talk) 01:01, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
- Meh. Switching to Support. Clearly doing a good job on translations, and I've said in the past that our TA requirements are too high as it is. As a word of friendly advice, though, in the future I'd advise you to not request a right ASAP on a project with more than 1,000 active users. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 07:30, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
- I'll take it into account, thank you -- Ата (talk) 07:44, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi! I'd like to have a tranlateadmin flag to be able to mark translations and use other rights assigned to this usergroup. I've retagged some strangely tagged pages and now I have to wait for their marking by existing tranlateadmins but I want to do it on my own. I know what translate admin flag is - I have it on metawiki, I have some experience as a translator (proof can be found in some editcounters global at on translatewiki :) ). Unfortunately I'm not yet have experience as a ns0 editor, I've tried to create a bot (last try was to create addbot analogue) but still have no success (some regex troubles) but I'm trying :) But sure I know basic policies what is almost same in all projects. :) --Base (talk) 19:37, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

- Weak support. Clearly an experienced user, but I would prefer to see more Wikidata contributions - which would be easy to get for instance during the nomination time.--Ymblanter (talk) 19:48, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
