• Sami literature (Q643239): this needs to reflect the difference between Saami literature and Sami-language literature as it is in sewiki, etc. The categories are all ready, but the topic items need to reflect that division too.

• bear cache (Q813000): conflating multiple different types of caches: one-legged caches (Skolt: njõll, Finnish: nili) vs. four-legged cached (Skolt:jueʹlǧǧäiʹtt, Finnish: jalka-aitta). Jalka-aitta (Q105533714) has been created for the four-legged one. Not taken off the list though because the English label and aliases might not be correct.
• Red Nose Day (Q455535)/Nenäpäivä (Q11884187): Red Nose Day in various countries. The first one has the UK (svwiki) and Germany (dewiki and eswiki). There are also multiple Red Nose Day YYYY items in wd that could be tagged with the generic item per country.
• online dating service (Q612825)/online dating (Q100377526): online dating vs. online dating services. Still needs langs like Arabic and Chinese checked.
• secret ballot (Q337987)/election secrecy (Q67154876), vaalisalaisuus, "election secrecy", valhemligheten (one seems to be the right to vote in secret and the other is the method of voting in secret), válgasuollemasvuohta, valjâsyeligâsvuotâ, vaalpeittäʹšš
• smoke sauna (Q1579009). The Croatian wp entry doesn't belong, but a new item needs to be created for it. Could use maybe smoke sauna in Halkilahti (Q55598222) as a template for it? Belongs to Q31274278 and intangible cultural heritage (Q59544).
• criminal law case (Q60845736)/criminal matter (Q19724907)
• Central organization (Q5062135)/central organization (Q10444896): is the diff here between an actual organization and a way of organizing? Enwiki redirects to organizational theory. Are there more of these in other languages?
• minor (Q170079)/incapacity (Q11900051)/ward of the state in France (Q1959049)/Q10709457/incapacity (Q4316032)/Q5914843/Q11916761/Q3797566/legal capacity (Q67097931) (the opposite angle): people vs. state of being vs. legally incompetent/incapable vs. being a minor, etc. Q11900051 definitely needs to be split up into person and state of being Q11900051.
• understory (Q422666): The Finnish concept and the English concept are not 1-to-1, as has been discussed on the page of the user who translated the article into Finnish from English. The English concept is broader than the Finnish one and a new qid should be created for it. Not sure what the situation is in the other languages.
• tax collector (Q1139055): English refers to the general concept, Finnish refers to a specific legal term used in Finland (and maybe before in Sweden), the Swedish conflates multiple different instances of the Swedish legal term into one article. Haven't looked at the other languages.
• video game (Q7889)/PC game (Q4485157)
• permanent residency (Q689095): appears to be combining the permanent residence status of a person with the permanent residence permit in various languages.
• prize money (Q3124839): mixing up the amount of money received as part of an award or prize (also P2121) with pirate money. Not sure what the Ukranian or Hebrew is referring to. Should be split up.
• barley sugar (Q2119832)/Q5403819: the Finnish wp article refers to barley sugar, but afaik in German and in Dutch, these used to be called Brustzucker (p. 501 of this dictionary too and this product) and borstsuiker.
• Calgary Herald (Q1026672)/Calgary Herald (Q100288059): same paper?
• playwright (Q214917)/play (Q25379): should some of the Tagalog aliases be moved to the other qid?
• essay (Q35760): the type of text vs. the branch of literature needs to be split up into separate items.
• church town of Sweden (Q1743100): de- and svwiki talk about this only in relation to Sweden; the other 3 languages on a general level (since this is also relevant to Finland and Norway). Needs to be split into two separate qids.
• faculty of arts (Q683471)/philosophy faculty (Q10922451)/faculty of humanities (Q12011063): these appear to be mixed up.
• indoor environment (Q26989033): say what?
• facial recognition system (Q1192553): this needs to be split up into facial recognition system (fr had this in Q18923486 before a merge) and the process of facial recognition (bbc news topic: c12jd8v541gt).
• thesis (Q11876231): this could be split up based on what educational institutions have which one of these, opinnäytetyö -> amk.
• wood industry (Q995609): YSO and YSA divide these up into separate concepts:"wood industry" and "forest industry". Perhaps wood industry (Q56448394)?
• Category:Kildin Sámi people (Q17205896): split into category and eamiálbmot.
• Category:Honorary degrees (Q6326860): split into the degrees and their recipients.
• Mormon missionary (Q627754): the Finnish refers to the missionary work the missionaries do in the Mormon church, not the missionaries themselves. Once split, it should be connected to missionary work (Q102238380).
• parenthood (Q83705447), motherhood (Q1956046), paternity (Q4540608): these should have items for the general concept and also for the legal concept. The paternity qid is a right mess of everything and the kitchen sink. For just general concepts, these too: child care (Q1455871) and parenting (Q1326354).
• autism (Q38404), separate item should be created for people with autism and the terms moved from this item to that item.
• list of sovereign states and dependent territories in North America (Q1987553), due to various redirects on wps, this now contains both lists of X and non-lists of X.
• live television (Q431102)/live broadcast (Q26261757) : one is the subcategory of the other, but the wp interlinks are all over the place in the subcategory.
• road traffic safety (Q1147899)/traffic safety (Q17996182): one refers to all traffic, one to only traffic on the road? The road one's related concepts would then be aviation safety (Q640853) and marine safety?
• neurodegeneration (Q1755122): needs to be broken up into neurodegeneration and the diseases caused by it.
• Shrove Tuesday (Q4845365): at least the Finnish refers to more than just Shrove Tuesday. Haven't checked the other languages.
• ambulance (Q180481): the multiple hyponyms in the Bokmål need to be split into separate items.
• special education (Q212105): the erityisluok* needs to be put in a different item, which afaik needs to be created first.
• carded yarn (Q31086294)/wool yarn (Q10708767): how to model this, create an item for karstavilla (and for its sister version kampavilla), add it in as the material used. First see if items exist in some other language because these are not well connected in wd. Discuss
• wool yarn (Q10708767)/wool (Q11547758)/wool fabric (Q11917845)
• Çineköy inscription (Q195587): some of these wp articles refer to the statue, some to the inscription, some to both.
• Minister of Children and Families (Q14436783): these need to be split up into separate qids along with the departments themselves (Ministry of Children and Families of Norway (Q11960243), Ministry of Children and Families (Q2607887), etc.) according to the names and years here.
• Minister of Agriculture and Food (Q11992117): same for this one and its ministry.
• Q18659839: split this up into the different instances post-merging, etc á la the Finnish wp article
• Beaivváš Sámi Theatre (Q3735108)/Giron Sámi Teáhter (Q10505057): need to be split up into the architectural structure, the institution and the theatre troupe.
• recess (Q176274): most of these only refer to the recess at school whereas the en tries to also cover other forms of recesses. Break up into hypero-/hyponyms.
• Category:Wikipedia administration (Q2944611): someone likely merged two items incorrectly and many of these should be at Category:Wikipedia (Q4966679), some of which appear to belong to Category:Wikipedia maintenance (Q5324375)...
• number sequence (Q4516355)/sequence (Q133250): bad merge?
• indigenous music of North America (Q2662072): Commons cat needs its own item. Music != musical instruments.
• Sirbmá (Q60195766)/Sirbmá (Q56708273): Sirbmá
• Barents Region (Q808091): conflates the Barent region with the cooperation that goes on in that region for some unknown reason.
• Illuminated procession (Q6000326): illuminated procession is the hyperonym, torchlight procession, lantern parade, candle* are concepts that belong to this category, but are not the same. Needs to be split up. Northern Sami word is spáiddarvázzin, the Finnish is soihtukulkue, Norwegian fakkeltog, Swedish fackeltåg.
• MeToo movement (Q42133786): ths should be split up into the movement and into the hashtag.
• driving under the influence (Q250062): YSO ID refers to the hyperonym of operating some form of vehicle while drunk whereas the Finnish rattijuopumus only refers to driving a vehicle with a steering wheel. There is also the term ruorijuopumus, which refers to operating a ship/boat while under the influence. Its hyperonym is vesiliikennejuopumus. Both of these two terms are in the same boating under influence (Q11901095) and should be split. Other terms on the same level include ilma­liikenne­juopumus, juna­liikenne­juopumus, raide­liikenne­juopumus. This hierarchy can be seen from FINTO for instance.
• socialism (Q7272): the human settlement or the political ideology. Bad merge?
• Nordic Christmas calendar (Q7050677): these need to be broken up into separate TV and radio versions. Yle topic ID only refers to the TV version so should go with the new qid for the TV version.
• popular literature (Q2497655)/paraliterature (Q986216)/pulp fiction (Q351718)/pulp magazine (Q865585): the magazine is clear, but has concepts from all of the other three entangled in it; the other three are intertwined and a fourth qid for kiosk literature needs to be created.
• couples therapy (Q1423426)/couples therapy (Q54857596): relationship != marriage, relationship can be 2+ so != couple, couple!=marriage, marriage can be 2+ people, so marriage!=couple either. Marriage counselling as a separate qid does not exist as far as I can tell.
• drug-related crime (Q1259975): the English refers to both narcotics offenses and crime related to the drug trade. In Finnish the difference is huumausainerikokset and huumausainerikoksiin liittyvät rikokset.
• country governor (Q104642014)/Statsforvalter (Q4748888): a bit of a mess
• gymnasium (Q14092): gymnasiums and sports halls both belong to the same hyperonym of sports facilities, yet they are not the same thing and should be separated as such.
• driving ban (Q10552223): vehicles can be immobilized, which is the same term in Finnish and Swedish at least, possibly in the Saami languages. A separate item needs to be created for driving bans as driving offences and one for medical reasons and these should be linked to this one with a P279.
• school nursing (Q1625669): unsure of where the dawiki and jawiki articles should be, here or school nurse (Q11666902) or somewhere else.
• air travel (Q376880): are these referring to 3 different things? The method of travel, the trip itself, and tourism?
• History of the Jews in Finland (Q45232): combines religion with people with history...
• Category:Sexual health (Q7054301): this category has about 8 different concepts in the iw links...
• Prime Minister of Ethiopia (Q1788970): enwiki is not a list article; fiwiki is. Didn't check the others.
• judiciary (Q105985): at least the fiwiki link is referring to the judicial power that the judiciary (fi. oikeuslaitos) wields. The other languages need to be checked.
• LGBT parenting (Q46839): this has everything and the rainbow included. Same-sex parents, LGBT families, parenting when not straight. So many concepts for one small item.
• Syd-Österbotten (Q7659650): this combines the discontinued newspaper of the same name with the current, still-functioning newspaper. None of the versions in between are on wd.
• hemin (Q425165)/hemin (Q107315604): merge?
• charitable fund (Q33060455): needs to be broken up into charitable fund and memorial fund and the connected items moved to one or another. Also the memorial fund items that are not connected to this item need to be connected to the future memorial fund item.
• fish farming (Q209894): the Northern Saami term refers to the place they are farmed, as does the Finnish -kasvattamo stuff. For the people farming pisciculturist (Q56249301).
• pH (Q40936): the Finnish happamuus refers only to the acidity of something; emäksisyys/alkalisuus to the alkalinity. Se:suvrodat, smn:suvrodâh for happamuus; smn:alkaallâšvuotâ, sms=alkaalʼlažvuõtt for alkalinity.
• information technology management (Q1473265): the Finnish refers to a professional title and a job, not the field itself.
• recreational fishing (Q283534): competitive fishing is part of recreational fishing. This whole item needs to be fixed.
• geographical zone (Q2299642)/climate zone (Q1639168): this utter mess.
• sieidi (Q2381508) and commons:Category:Sieidi's wikidata item, which refers to a specific mountain while the pics in the cat are of sieidi (Q2381508).
• polysemy (Q191928): combines polysemy and polysemes. No existing qid just for polyseme that I can find though.
• perpetual motion (Q12623): combines a type of motion and a machine that utilizes it. Doesn't seem to be caused by a bad merge though.

• legal deposit (Q384840): combines the right to receive the works under legal deposit schemes, the legal concept of legal deposit, and the works themselves.
• wildfire (Q169950): combines all sorts of fires into one item...
• observance (Q16675435): temadag needs to be a separate item
• Q8964081: this one item refers to three two different concepts.
• Scandinavian literature (Q367092): Nordic != Scandinavian
• Sápmi (Q62132): Sápmi != Lappi
• Category:Sámi literature (Q23893006)/Category:Sámi-language literature (Q8700827)/Sami literature (Q643239): Literature written by the Sámi != Literature in a Sámi language. The missing item needs to be created and this mess fixed.
• stoma (Q911690): confusing -ostomy procedures with the resulting stoma and ostomy pouching system (Q4210298). Should diff be made between permanent and temporary stomata?
• execution by firing squad (Q216169): the labels don't match the wp articles for many languages and some of them are way off. Not sure if bad merges or what, but definitely needs to be fixed asap.
• legal system (Q2478386)/legal order (Q858700): there's a semantic difference between oikeusjärjestelmä and oikeusjärjestys and they need to be split off from each other into separate items. In addition, the Finnish list of these needs to be its own item and linked to these. Is the German in the first in the right place too?
• Gospel (Q34274) and canonical Gospels (Q5852633): Some of the entries/labels/aliase in the first should be in the second. Wp articles might need to be moved too.
• child poverty (Q1561657): the German wp article should be moved to its own item and the label/aliases cleaned up on this one.
• tree of the year (Q12056594): the Czech one is only about the Czech one whereas the rest (?)are to a generic word for all the awards.
  • Q65766866: this category's main topic is *not* this one; it should be the item for the Czech award/competition once it is created.
• Category:Music by decade (Q7465603): (At least) the Finnish only refers to musical works whereas the other ones refer to that decade in music on a broader scale. Also the Finnish category is incorrectly named.
• housing benefit (Q3429604): each wp article pretty much only deals with that country's situation so these should be broken up because each is its own legal concept for a specific legal system. Needs then a generic housing subsidy item to link them all.
• academic library (Q856234): conflating scientific libraries, university libraries, and academic libraries.
• ski resort (Q130003): conflates ski resorts with their hypernym.
• biological neural network (Q43283) and neural network (Q55624999).
• stereoscopy (Q35158) and stereoscope (Q11723296): some labels on wrong item; wp articles seem to be ok.
• contract manufacturer (Q1408259): some refer to the company, some to the process.
• Proto-Finnic (Q11883720): fiwiki refers to a specific phase of Proto-Finnic; the others refer to the whole Proto-Finnish stage.
• self-injury (Q622527): Finnish is referring to the desire to do what the rest of them are talking about.
• University of Kuopio (Q9091642): this is a royal mess conflating multiple universities.
• geothermal heating (Q10577628): The English is describing the method of using what the Finnish is referring to to heat things. Not the same concept.
• gemination (Q852201): Conflates the process and its result.
• electric motorcycle (Q1327077): Interwikilinks are about everything from motorcycles, scooters, bikes, mopeds and combinations of these.
• Constitution of Nigeria (Q2856156): needs to be separated out into individual constitutions.
• history of Sweden (800–1521) (Q2460755)/history of Sweden (1523–1611) (Q3290518)/history of Sweden from 1772 through 1809 (Q3300409)/etc. Swedish history on svwiki is divided up differently than on other wps yet is randomly added to wd items that do not match up.
• audiovisual media (Q758901): the quality of being audiovisual vs. audiovisual media
• shipbuilding (Q474200): should be divided up into shipbuilding (laivanrakennus) and the shipbuilding industry (telakkateollisuus, LOC:sh85121560/YSO:4616/YSA:Y99389/Yle ID:18-211618).
• arms industry (Q392933): arms industry != war industry; split.
• languages of the European Union (Q11150)/official languages of the European Union (Q13639115): langs of the European Union != official langs of the European Union. Many of the articles on the first should actually be on the second...
• home invasion (Q3560381): there are at least 3 distinct concepts in this single item. Home invasion != kotirauhan rikkominen and neither of these are kotirauha/hemfrid/(sms=dommrääuh)
• school teacher in the Swedish school system (Q10497467): should be separated into item for the Swedish teachers and a generic item it links to. YSO should be moved to generic item.
• possessive affix (Q804020): affixes, suffixes, and prefixes, oh my!
• Paralanguage (Q1753225): language, linguistics, etc.
• list of national birds (Q1071009): some lists, some not.
• pitch (Q2310214): looks to be the result of a bad merge; pitch != stadium, etc.
• electronic invoicing (Q10481245)/electronic billing (Q1273948)/Q31283762/electronic invoicing (Q3395172): some describe the process, some the actual eletronic document, etc.
• geographic direction (Q13179187)/cardinal direction (Q23718): some of the articles on the latter one belong on the first item.
• runner (Q66466798): could be made into a generic class of runners and its subclass of table runners.
• log cabin (Q695207)/log house (Q884742): this mess...
• maypole (Q76574): should be divided up into ones used for Whitsun and ones specifically for Midsummer's.
• Severo (Q3958489): different names in dewiki and itwiki. Split and fix linked items.
• Q12312984: combines the nowiki disambig page with the Danish article about the Danish frikort. I have not looked to see what shape hovedkort and bikort might be in. I've already split tax card (Q11900983)/tax card (Q12335588)/tax deduction card (Q9337725) into their respective countries, so now the cards that belong to them should be connected. Sweden does not seem to have an article or qid for skattekort yet.
• eel spear (Q20690) eel spears != fizgigs/fishgigs, etc.
• Gigi (Q1311751) en: unisex, others: male
• Category:Queens consort (Q7064269): should have a superclass of "queen". Rn some languages have this superclass, some have the class "queen consort".
• swimming (Q31920): is this about competitive swimming or just swimming?
• translation (P5972) is the result of translation (Q7553). They are not the same even if they are in English.
• basic statistical unit (Q4580177): the Finnish refers to the hypernym, everything else seems to only refer to the Norwegian unit.
• constituency association (Q10712411): the Estonian refers to a specific Estonian case; the Finnish and Swedish to something else.
• handicraft (Q877729)/Q19710316: how are these related to each other?
• freight forwarder (Q840850): this is mixing up the company/person/etc. that does it and what they do.
• fax (Q132744): en-label talks about the device, description talks about the method it uses. The rest are mixed up too.
• President of Slovenia (Q495877): combines articles on Slovenian presidents from varying periods of time. Some from just the current republic, some from the whole span of time.
• e-service (Q1273271): The Finnish sähköinen asiointi needs a different item. As does the fiwp article and the YSO value of 11007.
• day care (Q364005): many of the wp articles talk about day care as in the caring for children during the day, not the actual day-care centers.
• Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 (Q113644620): UMK2023 != Finland in ESC2023. These need to be unmerged, untangled, unsomething or another. And also the years before this year's competition too...
• transmitter mast (Q1068623): massive mess of masts.
• microwave transmission (Q747066)/radio link (Q20920745): these are not the same things, microwave transmission (Q3908179) is a redirect that should be doublechecked.
• historical society (Q5774403) and historical society (Q18646134): the first merrily mixes history societies and local heritage societies. Some of these values should probably be moved to the second item. The first item is connected to one heck of a lot of items though, so it will take someone really patient to go through them all.
• election platform (Q2451766) and party platform (Q1501855): the latter is a merry mess of election vs. party platforms.
• backup (Q194274): conflates the process with the result.
• media literacy (Q56317182)/media literacy (Q1507246): do some of the labels and links on the second item actually belong on the first item?
• text corpus (Q461183): corpora and text corpora mixed up together.
• rail transport (Q3565868): railway transport and rail(way) traffic/service are not the same thing.
• Lusophones (Q1258241): some refer to people who speak Portuguese, some to the countries where Portuguese is an official language, some to the countries where Portuguese is spoken.
• mortgage loan (Q1210094): asuntolaina is only used for residential dwellings and should be turned into a hyponym of this item.
• hypoactive sexual desire disorder (Q303555): catch-all item that is likely the result of bad merges. Combines a medical condition with a whole slew of non-medical articles about frigidity, mainly referring to women.
• playlist (Q1569406): some are about music, some about both music and videos.
• hot plate (Q509869): the kitchen version and the laboratory version should be split into separate items.
• street name controversy (Q99959001): the Commons cat needs a Belgium-specific item of its own and the wd item linked to a correct category.
• pinnoite (Q3905239): the Finnish pinnoite refers to something completely different and needs to be linked to a different item.
• psychosocial rehabilitation (Q2121838): should psychosocial and psychiatric rehabilitation be on the same item?
• tax revenue (Q385503): clearly refers to the general concept, except for the German wp article, which refers only to the situation in Germany.
• discharge (Q11900652): the Finnish article only refers to the legal concept within the Finnish legal system; the Swedish discusses both the general situation and the situation in Sweden.
• Candidate of Law (Q1771785): Pretty much every wp-article is about a different Nordic country. These should be split up and attached to a generic item.
• home invasion (Q3560381) and at least Q10520944 if not more. The latter has been merged into the former even though they are not the same concept. Not an easy unmerge since the latter item has also experienced multiple bad merges. The fi and sv on the latter (kotirauha and hemfrid) are a separate concept whereas the proper term for what is on Q10520944 would be fi: kotirauhan rikkominen and sv: hemfridsbrott (at least in Finnish Swedish).
• masonry oven (Q908601)/Q25424298: these either overlap or are the same thing.
• toy museum (Q2310465): the Russian alias refer to specific museums, not the general concept, but they do not seem to yet have items of their own that they could be moved to.
• city manager (Q696776): The Swedish article refers only to the Swedish situation and a new item should be created for it and it should be linked to this one. Haven't checked the other ones.
• open source (Q39162): the English one refers to a "philosophy", the other ones to a type of source code.
• monitoring station (Q1924376): unsure if monitoring station and observation station are the same thing or not.
• penile erection (Q133993): English is only referring to penile erection, other languages are also referring to non-penile erection.
• intimate relationship (Q736922): the Finnish is specifically referring to an intimate relationship with two partners in it. Many of the other labels do not limit the number of people in the relationship nor do they confine it solely to being a couple, which the Finnish one does.
• cardiopulmonary bypass (Q552304)/heart-lung machine (Q29513568): the first qid (the procedure) might still have things on it that belong on the second qid (the machinery).
• crystalline schist (Q15315)/schistose rock (Q9394813): the first qid looks to be the result of a lot of bad merges, many of which were done by an IP address user.   • I've broken this down into separate items except for the non-Latin-based scripts. biometrics (Q177765) still requires a major overhaul though, since it conflates the subfield of statistics biostatistics (Q214746), biometric=biometrics i.e. "body measurements and characteristics", and possibly biometry (Q67364833) to boot.
