Wikidata:WikiProject PCC Wikidata Pilot/San Diego State University/Comic Arts Project Application Profiles Creators

Bolded properties are considered core. All others are optional according to cataloger's judgment. Note there are more properties available than listed here, these are just considered the most common/necessary for SDSU's comic book collection.

For living creators, please read both of these documents and keep in mind that an individual's privacy is more important than adding data to a Wikidata profile. Also make sure to see if anything has been removed from the NAR by request.

Awards
Just a quick note on awards. We have a list of awards that we will be entering via batch using QuickStatements. You do not need to update awards in Wikidata that are on the list (Harvey, Inkpot, Eisner, etc.) We will also be creating items for said awards if they do not exist. If the person you're working on has an award already entered that's not on our list to update via batch, make sure the information is correct and a source is provided. If the person you're working on has won other awards, it is cataloger's judgement whether or not to enter them. Typically, we would only enter awards where the award itself already exists in Wikidata but in special circumstances, we may also create a record for the award if we deem it necessary.
