Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Portraits
This page describes how portraits (portrait paintings) are handled as part of the sum of all paintings. We currently have over 90.000 portrait paintings on Wikidata (December 2022).
Genre
editWe use genre (P136) set to portrait (Q134307) (or a subclass) to indicate that a painting is a portrait. instance of (P31) shouldn't be used for this. Some subclasses of portrait (Q134307) are well established, others might be replaced in the future.
