Committee

The conference will take place in a large venue, with 4 different rooms where sessions will happen. In order to make sure that everything runs smoothly, that both speakers and attendees are happy, we need people to be in the rooms, checking for the time, the material, and other small details.

Room angel is a nice volunteer task for people who want to help but without missing too much of the program: while taking care of a room, you can follow the content of the sessions.

Missions

edit
  • have an overview of your slot and what's happening during it
  • support speakers when setting up (with projector, computer, etc)
  • introduce the sessions on stage: briefly introduce the speaker and the topic
  • remind people about documentation, ask for note-taking volunteers, and help them taking notes during the session
  • keep an eye on the time to make sure that sessions start and end on time
  • in general, make sure that the sessions are running smoothly

Schedule

edit

The room angels will be needed during the full conference (Friday and Saturday). The schedule being quite intense, it has been split in different slots. In order to support each other, two volunteers are needed per slot.

The room angels will be helped by Léa Lacroix (WMDE) and Robert Herndl (WMDE).

If you're interested in being a room angel, feel free to subscribe on the schedule below! Please make sure to check the program first so it doesn't collide with another session you are interested or speaking in! If you're a speaker, you should not be room angel during the same track.
