This doesn't seem to be an interface message being display on Property:P10.

Could you try changing MediaWiki:Wikibase-datatype-label to:

After some tweaks to Template:List of properties/Header and Template:List of properties/Row,

it works .. somewhat. Links would need editing as well. Other than the sample, it doesn't actually add that much in terms of documentation. --  Docu  at 20:46, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Good idea to create a separate footer message. Once active, use should be limited to Property namespace, as the label itself is used elsewhere. Also please remove the <br> from this message. Currently Template:Property documentation appears broken. --  Docu  at 15:00, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

I'm not sure if this can be done. Template:Property documentation uses this interface message with {{int:wikibase-datatype-label}}.
int: wont work with anything outside MediaWiki namespace.

In any case, look at a property proposal (e.g. Wikidata:Property_proposal/Authority_control#NATO_reporting_name) between "Infobox parameter:" and "Domain:" before and after the change and you will notice the improvement.

If nothing breaks on property pages (e.g. at Property:P107 around "Data type: Item") and property talk pages (e.g. at Property talk:P26 between "Infobox parameter:" and "Domain:") either, then it should be fine. --  Docu  at 12:48, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

When I replace the linebreak <br> with {{int:Wikibase-property-footer}}Data type:, the bullet point for datatype disappears, it is no longer in bold, and that's pretty much it. I don't see an improvement. Am I replacing the wrong code? I've pasted the source code into User:Delusion23/Sandbox. Please edit that to what needs to be done, I will then copy it across. Is there a reason why the message ends with a column, that looks a bit strange in {{List of properties/Header}}:

@Zolo: That's a bit of a problem, since now all 70 translations of this message still have the colon, resulting in double colons wherever this is used. --Yair rand (talk) 13:09, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

Yes actually I got reverted on TranslateWiki as for some reason, we needed the message with the colon (if translatewiki could let clients make format adjustements like adding colons to the clients, that would make it far more reusable</off topic>).
