Uncertain entries edit

If in doubt, please don't assign this property to a Wikidata item. Some common cases include:

  • ancient place is near a modern settlement, but the two don't match (e.g. there is no continuity of occupation between the ancient place and the modern one);
  • places that are unlocated in Pleiades;
  • places that have common names, easily misidentified.

I welcome further discussion on the above points. --Steko (talk) 14:27, 21 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Expanded Constraints edit

Changed "instance of" to "instance or subclass of" and added geographical object to the constraints to better reflect current Pleiades data model. Ryanmhorne (talk) 13:57, 19 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
