Notes for development edit

Some notes for development of Australian Acts using this property. They may be hard for others to understand at the moment, but I hope to refine them as I sort through my plans.

For each item on the list of Qids:

  • Download the Details item
  • Parse it for:
  • Comlaw=series id, qualifier nature of statement (P5102)=originally (Q53737447)
  • Comlaw=item id, qualifier=start, end, caused-by-item (from Comlaw lookup or name lookup)
  • Responsible departments (all agencies?) (ref use series URL to avoid repeating)
  • title (en)
  • year, series ordinal=act number (for year)
  • in force, superseded, or repealed (superseded as qualifier, otherwise look for some property)
  • if a caused by Comlaw or name does not have a lookup item, it is probably a new act. Create a new item based on its series from details (marked originally so that it is picked up in the next round)
  • if a caused by Comlaw was not found but the name was, then add this Comlaw to the matched item
  • if item=series then use start date as start for item, also published as published

Also look for:

For each series (from the new distinct list of originallys):

  • Download the series item
  • Parse it for the table of:
  • Comlaw id=revision, dates, and causes
  • Download the repealed by list
  • Download the related acts list

Check that both titles come into items with name changes, e.g. Australian Institute of Anatomy Agreement Act 1924 (Q56738208) (don't touch manually).
