Expeditions edit
I added this to an archeological /antropological expedition. Is there a reasoning behind the idea that it is narrowed to scientific expeditions that include digging or are biodiversity expeditions and polar camps also fine? --Hannolans (talk) 12:50, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
- Hannolans As the property was envisaged in its proposal, it relates specifically to archaeological work. I later suggested widening it beyond excavations to archaeological fieldwork in general, which would cover geophysical survey (Q3610005), fieldwalking (Q24035270), and building surveys (no Q number yet) which seems to be at least tacitly approved by those involved in the initial discussion. The reason for broadening it is that there are other types of archaeological investigation which can be reasonably grouped together. Biodiversity expeditions seem like they would be substantially different but it could be worth thinking it through, for example archaeobotanic surveys should be included under the umbrella of archaeological fieldwork.
