Finding an ID
editI created George W. Rawson (Q106488963) yesterday; I can see he has an entry in EotW, but I cannot figure out where to find his ID there. Can someone advise, please? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:14, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Pigsonthewing: In the page of the entry, click on the "add comment" button, then on "do not add"; the ID will be appended to the URL. Korg (talk) 15:03, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
Unreliable
editEntomologists of the World seems to be super unreliable. Many of the people listed are probably very marginally involved in entomology. The site itself does not provide any information on why a particular person has been included but in some cases it seems that the inclusion is simply because they provided an insect specimen or when some species has been named after them. While adding the id is ok, automatically adding the subject to the occupation entomologist seems very ill advised unless one has clear evidence for it. Shyamal (talk) 14:18, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
