qualifier to indicate the direction of the object relative to the subject item (for direction to the object, see P654)

Description	Qualifier: a directional identifier to distinguish between multiple instances of a property (like the north and south ends of a linear feature, the next item of a set to the west or east, etc.)

Domain	According to this template: Linear features, especially man-made, like roads and rail lines According to statements in the property: spatial entity (Q58416391), anatomical structure (Q4936952) or side (Q26382) When possible, data should only be stored as statements
Allowed values	Cardinal directions (north, south, east, west), inter-cardinal, rotational... See latest list. (note: this should be moved to the property statements)
Usage notes	Use "towards" (P5051) instead to indicate the terminal station in the direction of an adjacent station.

Difference from p654?

direction relative to location (P654) used as qual on shares border with (P47). But haven't they the same sence with topic?--Avatar6 (talk) 17:40, 29 August 2018 (UTC)

P654 (direction relative to location) means the direction relative to the object, while P560 (direction) means the direction of the object relative to the subject. For example, the United States (subject) "shares border with" (P47) Mexico (object), and P47 in this case should have qualifiers "P654 north" and "P560 south". This distinction may be confusing. I have edited descriptions of P654 and P560 for clarification, and corrected United States of America (Q30), Canada (Q16), et al.. --Neo-Jay (talk) 14:29, 21 August 2021 (UTC)
