Mandic said the bakery uses an old-world recipe from Europe and has been making the biscuits for wineries in that state using local wines there. The biscuits are named for grandmother, Serbian immigrant Milena Gorunovic, who lived in Elizabeth and was one of the founders of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in that city. (English)

Milena Jovanovic Gorunovic died yesterday at Brick Hospital. She was 67. She was born in Barajevo, Serbia, and had lived in Rahway before moving to Brick 10 years ago. (English)
