Does anyone know of a Lieutenant Fritz von Knorring. Anna Catharina Arenfelt was married to him after 1680. She had previously been betrothed to lieutenant Gustaf Casimir Spandekow, their betrothal was dissolved according to the consistory in Narva on 19/1 1680. (English)

One of the most dramatic struggles took place on the Orboina manor in Koporje County, a fief administered by Lieutenant Gustaf Casimir von Spankow (Spandekow). The quarrel between Spankow and the peasants of Holopovitsa village was caused by a boundary dispute, which had been going on since at least 1668. In the spring of 1682, the quarrel escalated to become a minor riot. Apparently, the peasants of Holopovitsa had been gathering hay and chopping wood on a disputed piece of land. Spankow responded by confiscating the villagers’ cattle. Soon afterwards, the peasants, armed with guns, axes, and spears, liberated their cattle by force. During the riot, Spankow was struck on the shoulder with an axe, while his servant fired some shots at the peasants. (English)
