Hi Tamawashi, please don't add "province" to items about province of the Netherlands (Q134390). The normal name is without province and we don't do disambiguation here in the title, we do it in the description. Multichill (talk) 13:29, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- User:Multichill - The removal of the term "provincie" and "province" from the labels for nl and en made the links unreadable. Even groningen.nl prominently includes the term here. By adding the entity type (=class name) the links are better readable. Tamawashi (talk) 13:39, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- Unreadable? What are you talking about? And you're seriously trying to convince a Dutch person that the he is wrong about the commons name? Come on. On both nl:Groningen (provincie) and en:Groningen (province) you can see that the province part is used for disambiguation. You might want to read Help:Label. The class should be part of the description. Multichill (talk) 14:07, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
- What I am talking about: Talk:Q749#Groningen in Groningen and Groningen. I made no reference to "commons name", no idea what that should be. I referred to toerisme.groningen.nl. Tamawashi (talk) 10:45, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

- User:Multichill, this has been done to Afghan provinces and districts as well, and as you mentioned there is no telling how many other countries. As it potentially affects all countries, I have proposed some additional guidelines at Wikidata_talk:Political_geography_task_force#Political_entity_labels to help apply the Help:Label guidelines to geographic entities. Locator map
editI restored the locator map without the islands. None of them are part of a province, see en:Public body (Netherlands)#Caribbean Netherlands. Multichill (talk) 19:50, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
