Hello! I'd like to know the difference between qualifiers president (Q1255921) and chairperson (Q140686). Both have the word "president" in the label or in the synonims. More specifically, I'd like to know if Evaldo Ferreira Vilela would be better described as the president or the chairperson of Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. In Portuguese he's the "presidente" of that council. Thanks! Mateussf (talk) 22:20, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
- Since I encountered the same issue, I removed the aliases (in en and de). Since we have the specific term as a separate item, also defined as a general term for a leadership position, the other item should be used for „presidents“- Karl Oblique (talk) 12:43, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
French label edit
Following Wikidata:Requests for comment/Gender neutral labels for occupations and positions in French, the label in French should now be "président ou présidente du conseil d'administration". PAC2 (talk) 21:05, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
GrandEscogriffe (talk) 20:07, 20 March 2023 (UTC)
