- free reed aerophone (Q399597) are aerophone (Q659216) but not wind instrument (Q173453). --Infovarius (talk) 22:18, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarification and that makes sense to me. Now I wanted to change the iw of the Bengali wikipedia page bn:সুষির from "wind instrument" to "Aerophone". But even after I remove the Bengali iw link from here it continues to show as linked to the same and I am not able to find the option to change it. can you please help to change it. Thanks and regards. --Dr.saptarshi (talk) 14:16, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
"player blowing into it"
editpipe organ (Q281460) is a wind instrument (Q173453), but player dows not blow into it. To change description or way of classification of pipe organ (Q281460) ([1])? Regards, Conny (talk) 10:35, 12 November 2017 (UTC).
- An exact classification requires that there be 2 types: 1) wind instrument (Q173453) ( musical instrument that contains a resonator in which a column of air is set into vibration by the player blowing into it and 2) something like musical instrument that contains a resonator in which a column of air is set into vibration by the non-player --Fractaler (talk) 14:24, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
