Nxavar (talk) 10:59, 2 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Other names edit

This item use pseudonym (P742) to hold other names of the person. However, this property is not multilingual; it is not defined as item nor a monolingual text. So the difference names assigned to Jesus are (or could be) show in several languages with similar meaning, all together as a similar multivalue under P742. When we get the information (in my case in an infobox) there is no way to select the values in my own language, and the content become useless. If, instead of P742, we would use nickname (P1449) -defined as monolingual text- it would be possible to enter the language for each value and avoid the present problem. But the meaning of P1449 doesn't fit so well as P742. What do you think about ?. Some other better solution ?. Thanks, Amadalvarez (talk) 07:16, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Do these names actually fit the definition at w:pseudonym? Sample on property is "Bud Spencer".

The general property for names is name (P2561). Maybe most statements on this item should use that property instead.

@Jura1: Yes, you're right. We can accept that "Lord" or "Son of God" are pseudonym, however the pseudonyms are not usually translated. Then, I agree that is better accept that they are name (P2561) instead of pseudonym (P742). I'll changed it. Thanks, Amadalvarez (talk) 20:10, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Done !. I move all values, qualifiers and references of pseudonym (P742) to name (P2561). Amadalvarez (talk) 06:01, 8 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hey, could we add 'Sint-Salvator' to the names as well (for Dutch or NL)? As stated here: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sint-Salvator that is another name of JC. I can't because the page is locked. Pietervdvn (talk) 16:48, 30 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

change encyclopedia britannica ID edit

Can we change the link to britannica to biography/Jesus (from biography/Jesus1) FS100 (talk) 06:46, 12 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

said to be the same as (P460) edit

The evidence to support this claim (filioque clause (Q204085) and Holy Trinity (Q37090)) explicitly contradict the claim. No one makes this claim, so you can't support it with a source. —Justin (koavf)TCM 20:50, 26 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Last words edit

Please change English in last words (P3909) to Ancient Greek or Aramaic or whatever was the original language. --Infovarius (talk) 10:54, 29 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Date of birth edit

I removed a claim that the approximate date of birth was 4 BCE with an earliest date of 7 BCE and latest date of 2 BCE. One reason I removed it is the claim gave as a reference date of birth of Jesus (Q3016939), and "date of birth of Jesus" does not support the claim. An additional reason I removed it is that citing Wikidata to support a Wikidata claim is circular referencing and is a very poor practice. Jc3s5h (talk) 00:50, 20 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why did you remove year 0? I understand that this is not historical but it is a common POV and should be described. --Infovarius (talk) 13:27, 21 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
