Hello, may you explain your edits like this one? I believe it doesn't make sense to claim an item to be both instance and subclass of national association football team (Q6979593). Horcrux (talk) 09:04, 13 March 2023 (UTC)

- @Horcrux: Thank you for your message. France at the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Q43249937) is instance of France at the FIFA World Cup (Q16839780), which is subclass of France national association football team (Q47774). So France national football team (Q47774) has to be subclass of something. That was why I added "subclass of (P279): national association football team (Q6979593)" to France national football team (Q47774) on 26 June 2018. --Neo-Jay (talk) 09:47, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Neo-Jay: I don't think it is a good practice to add a semantically-odd statement just for fixing a warning. In this case, I think the best solution would have been to replace France at the FIFA World Cup (Q16839780)subclass of (P279)France national association football team (Q47774) using some other property like facet of (P1269). Note that, indeed, nation at sport competition (Q46135307) is not a subclass of national sports team (Q1194951). What do you think? --Horcrux (talk) 10:11, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Horcrux: If France at the FIFA World Cup (Q16839780) is facet of (P1269), not subclass of (P279), France national association football team (Q47774), France at the 2018 FIFA World Cup (Q43249937) cannot be instance of (P31) France at the FIFA World Cup. Probably "instance of" can be replaced with "part of the series" (P179) (as Q42914289 (United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics) is part of the series: Q742661 (United States at the Olympics)). If you like, you can change them. I am neutral on this issue. Thank you. --Neo-Jay (talk) 11:32, 13 March 2023 (UTC)
