A couple of weeks ago, we invited you to take the Community Insights Survey. It is the Wikimedia Foundation’s annual survey of our global communities. We want to learn how well we support your work on wiki. We are 10% towards our goal for participation. If you have not already taken the survey, you can help us reach our goal! Hi Geogast,
A while ago, we had some mixup between date of first performance (P1191) and publication date (P577). For TV programs that are not live transmissions, publication date (P577) should generally be used. We fixed most of them, but I noticed that Eisenbahn-Romantik (Q48557) is still using date of first performance (P1191). If you don't mind, I would convert them.
Nice dataset btw: https://w.wiki/3Aty --- Jura 21:45, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, aha! Yes, please convert that. That was simply my mistake.
And: Thank you very, very much for the query you made! To have an overview of main subject (P921) of the episodes was my main motivator. But to be able to have it displayed on a map, was beyond my imagination. Thanks!--Geogast 🤲 (talk) 00:28, 10 April 2021 (UTC)- It's almost done. The improved query https://w.wiki/3Ax3 tries to get coordinates from more places. --- Jura 08:08, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- Sorry for the trouble I caused with P1191. This new query is really better! Thanks again! I know nearly nothing about writing queries. Say, is there a way do build a map that shows the countries of the topics the episodes touch? I put main subject (P921) to an episode, but a lot of these objects do not have a coordinate location (P625) statement; for example, several episodes just have something like rail transport in Bolivia (Q690925) as their main subject (P921).--Geogast 🤲 (talk) 15:03, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
- Don't worry, it's easy to convert. I added the query to Talk:Q48557 and added column for the country and, if no other coordinates are present, it uses that of the country (?c7). Don't hesitate to experiment with it. --- Jura 08:22, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi! I noticed that you marked Märklin Museum (Q108806679) as permanently closed (Q104664889), and it caught my interest. Their website seems to indicate they are still open, so I was wondering what your reasoning was. Have a good day! — Huntster (t @ c) 19:07, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
- Hello! Compare Märklin Museum (Q108806679) and Märklineum (Q108806680). I will put a different from (P1889) statement now.--Geogast 🤲 (talk) 19:09, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
- I understand now! Thank you. Do you happen to know the old street address? That might help disambiguate the two further. — Huntster (t @ c) 19:17, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
- Right! That was one thing I still wanted to do, too. I'll put it now.--Geogast 🤲 (talk) 19:38, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for finding that!! Just to note, when using street address (P6375), include the full address, leaving out only the country. I've updated these two. Cheers! — Huntster (t @ c) 23:48, 5 October 2021 (UTC)

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment
editDear Geogast,
I hope you are doing good,
I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.
I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.
The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.
If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link I will contact you with the link to start the study.
For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.
Thank you for considering taking part in this research.
Regards
Proselyt
