Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Hi! To "have better tools to add data" you can follow the instructions I wrote in Wikidata:WikiProject Cyprus/Introduction to Wikidata (April 2021)#Preparation.

The most useful gadgets you will enable are

• User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers for the extraction of IDs from VIAF (video in Italian)
• User:Bargioni/UseAsRef for the use of identifiers as references (video in English)
• MediaWiki:Gadget-DuplicateReferences.js for the copy of references from one statement to another
• User:MichaelSchoenitzer/quickpresets for quick addition of statements - it can be personalized, you can substitute my personalization with your own one
• User:Matěj Suchánek/moveClaim.js for the move/copy of statements to other items
• User:Magnus Manske/mixnmatch gadget.js for the addition of other identifiers through Mix'n'match

Little suggestion: ISNI (P213) should be added with 4 groups of 4 characters divided by spaces to avoid format constraint-violation. User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers does it automatically. Bye, --Epìdosis 11:21, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

@Epìdosis: will fix any remaining by script. Takes too much time to add spaces manually and moreIdentifiers isn't yet installed in my account, and I suspect that also takes more time for one ISNI than simply double-or-right-click-copy-paste in case I am near an (electronic / not spaced) ISNI.
