Thanks for the corrections! edit

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for correcting some of my edits! I'm still figuring out some of the property relationships/directions as I'm working. I appreciate it! Todrobbins (talk) 16:24, 31 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I do not know what happened there edit

Thanks for Special:Diff/1747745787/1788602439. I have no idea how that claim ended up being there. I don't even remember using wikishootme, and I hope there isn't more of that random stuff around here. Ugh... Ponor (talk) 19:35, 12 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Likewise my edit at Special:Diff/1814017602/1817313746 on Q3503823 – I was experimenting with WikiShootme, but strictly in my home country of the UK. I've no idea how I ended up editing an item in Algeria; that certainly wasn't my intention. Thanks for spotting and reverting. Dave.Dunford (talk) 12:26, 23 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I checked, and found several more spurious co-ordinates that I'd inadvertently added to random Wikidata items (e.g. Q2829597, Q2382794). I think these were the result of me attempting to use Wikishootme to adjust co-ordinates of Items referring to places in the UK, particularly listed buildings. There's a button in WikiShootMe that allows you to change co-ordinates, though that's not the primary function of the tool (which is to attach images to items with known locations). I suspect there may be a bug in the tool when it's used in this way, such that the co-ordinates are not applied to the expected item, but to some other random Q item. I think I've reverted all my unintentional edits - fortunately I didn't change very many using WikiShootMe. If I get time I'll investigate and try to work out what's happening. Confirmed it's a bug in Wikishootme. If you change the co-ordinates of a photo, it changes the co-ordinates on an apparently random and unrelated Wikidata item. Dave.Dunford (talk) 17:23, 25 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Is it possible to request for undeletion! edit

Hi jamie, I got deletion notification for this item Q115666474 please help me to undelete the item so I can able to edit and add some references to the item that will meet the wikidata notability. Thank you Iamkimie (talk) 19:41, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

It is possible to request undeletion: Wikidata:Guide_to_requests_for_undeletion. Note that I am not an administrator, so I do not have the ability to do that. I'm also not sure if this person meets Wikidata's notability criteria, though, and another item with the same label has been deleted already. Finally, I see that the account that created Q115666474, Amahdino (talkcontribslogs), has been blocked for abusing multiple accounts. I hope some of this helps. Regards, Jamie7687 (talk) 20:35, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks its really helps, I do not have multiple account for Amahdino, I just got the notification and account was blocked, but please how can a person recovered account that have been blocked to avoid abusing for creating a new account Iamkimie (talk) 03:54, 17 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment edit

Dear Jamie,

I hope you are doing well,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I am working on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender model that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our model based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study should take no more than 15 minutes.

If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link

Then, I will contact you with the link to start the study.

For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.
